Happy Mother’s Day!  Hope you are all enjoying a lovely Sunday!

I had a special request for a 3D flower class.  Last Friday we had a blast and everyone learned the process to make layered 3D Flowers.  Here is an example of how they can be used.  I'm going to incorporate 2 Hummingbirds to this piece.  


Any interest in a 3D Tree Class?  I can set it up the same way.  Class fee would be $120 and each student would get patterns and a jig to use at home to recreate 3D trees in variety of designs.  If there is interest I will schedule it.  You can make these trees for any holiday or season.  Here are a few examples I made.  Both in spring themes.

Beginner & Non-Beginner Classes
Students pick their dates upon registration based on their availability.  Both the Beginner & Non-Beginner are either Two sessions.  Beginner class fee $300 all inclusive.  Students pick their pattern and glass and create a window panel approximately 11" x 14".

Non-Beginner class fee $180.  Students pick their pattern and buy their supplies.  Many patterns are available.


    
Project in a Day Class
Students can choose the suncatcher design they want to make from a variety of options.    No experience necessary.  You will learn to cut, grind, foil and solder.  Class fee is $100

Happy Sunday!  

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying spring time in the Rockies.  Rosie is back to her normal 2 yr old self, loving life, overseeing her domain and greeting glass students. 

I started a new personal piece which is inspiring me.  I have a piece of wood from my dad's stash.  He was an extremely talented wood sculture artist.  It always spoke to me and when he passed away I saved it.  I decided to create a 3D piece.  I'm making multiple 3D flowers in different sizes to attach and also 2 hummingbirds.  I like that my Dad had it for a future wood scuplture and now I'm incorporating with glass.  My wood piece is larger then this pic but this gives you an idea of what I'm going for.


Inspiration hits in odd ways.  I was at a flea market and found this dish.  I had to buy it.  I can't wait to design a window panel to use this in.  I have several vintage dishes that I will be incorporating but currently on the hunt for one or two more 4" or smaller colored flower dishes to include.

    
Now is the time to start thinking about your holiday gifts and get started on design and creating.  Snowflakes, suncatchers, 3d trees or flowers, etc are all wonderful gifts but take time.  Call me to schedule a time to get started.

3D Flower
May 10, 12:30-4:30 pm
Students will learn to create a 3D free standing flower.  Students will take home a finished flower, a 3d Assembly Jig made from heat-resistant resin and pattern for future use at home. Due to time limitations we will create a 3 tiered flower in class.  At home you can create up to a 5 tier flower using the jig and pattern.  
Class fee is $120

I had a request for a 3D flower class so I am adding one to the schedule.  These are a great way to use scrap glass and to use glass and create art that doesn't need to hang in a window.  I loved my poinsettia I made last year.

May 10th, Friday at 12:30
Class Fee is $120
Each student will leave with a 3D printed jig and patterns you can use to create these beautiful 3D flowers at home.  Pictures above are of the different sizes and designs.  Due to time limitations we will be making a 3 level flower.
